The Nitecore HC70 headlamp has a maximum output of 1000 lumens from the Cree XM-L2 LED and is powered by 2 x 18650 Li-ion cells. 

Designed with caving in mind, the HC70 has a die-cast unibody, providing excellent heat dissipation and is lightweight to reduce the load bearing on the user's head whilst climbing or caving. The LED has a flood light effect with a wide 90° beam angle for a broad range of illumination.

The separate battery pack is rechargeable via a micro USB port, providing efficient and simple charging when you are on the go. For additional convenience, the battery pack can serve as a power bank to charge 2 devices simultaneously via a USB connection port.

The HC70 has been designed with the outdoors in mind and has several features to ensure it offers a high performance when you need it most. The head torch has a special battery tail cap which is water and dust proof; after battery installaton simply put the battery cap in place and use the key attached on the battery cap to screw it in clockwise. The battery case is constructed from metal, therefore preserving heat when it is placed in a backpack or pocket, so as to adapt to low temperatures when required. The cable attaching the headlamp and battery pack is made from durable nylon, to ensure it is wear resistant and reliable whilst exploring.

The HC70 head torch features five brightness levels, ranging from 1 to 1000 lumens, plus three special modes including a caution light, SOS and location beacon mode for emergencies.
