THE EDGE edcSHARP is a V-type sharpener with abrasive surfaces set at constant angles of 20° and 25° . These are the sharpening angles most often used in EDC, outdoor and hunting knives, so using one pocket sharpener we can repair knives for various purposes. This functionality will be especially appreciated by people who have no experience in sharpening and users who want to quickly and effectively repair the blade in the field. Triangular ceramic and tungsten plates are used for sharpening , which can be easily removed for cleaning. This design has another advantage - after the edges are worn or damaged, we can simply turn the tile over and use the new abrasive surface.

Use of a sharpener

Tungsten carbide inserts (coarse) pick up steel quickly and aggressively. Designed for sharpening severely dull knives and repairing damaged cutting edges. Depending on the hardness of the steel, 5-6 passes of the blade are usually enough to level and improve the cutting edge. Sintered carbide picks up steel quickly and aggressively, so when sharpening you should not press down on the knife, its weight alone is sufficient.

Ceramic plates (fine) are used to sharpen and smooth the cutting edge. Recommended for smoothing the blade after sharpening on a tungsten sharpener, quick sharpening and keeping the sharpened knife in good condition. Fine ceramics pick up steel much more gently, so sharpening on tiles is slower and more controlled.
