Electronic noise-cancelling earphones, also known as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) earphones, are devices designed to actively reduce unwanted noise from the surrounding environment.

They work by using built-in microphones to detect external sounds and subsequently generate inverse sound waves that cancel out or reduce unwanted noise. These sound waves are emitted from the earphones along with the desired audio playback, such as music or phone calls.

Active noise cancellation allows the earphones to create a kind of sound 'barrier' between the user and external noise, enabling a better audio experience in noisy environments, such as air travel, trains, crowded offices or during workouts.

These particular earphones have memory foam inserts that allow them to expand inside the user's ear canal and 'plug' virtually any noise from outside, allowing it to be filtered out electronically only.
