The widespread AAA/AA design based on Li-ions is revolutionizing mobile energy supply for many standard applications. A built-in Li-ion battery with a nominal voltage of 3.6V to 3.7 volts is reduced to 1.5V using electronics in the form of a PCB.

Li-ion technology in the LR3/AAA design and constant voltage of 1.5V

The stable and high output voltage makes the 1.5 volt lithium-ion batteries compatible with all devices that are optimized for operation with disposable batteries and for which the low voltage of the NiMH battery causes problems. The high voltage results in high performance in many devices, for example many flashlights or fairy lights are brighter or motors (toys, kitchen appliances) run faster than with NiMH batteries.

Stable output voltage of 1.5V throughout the entire cycle.

In addition to the constant voltage of 1.5V, the battery offers great advantages thanks to the low-voltage shutdown. Most applications do not have their own low voltage shutdown, but do not damage the electronically controlled 1.5V Li-ion batteries , as is the case with NiMH/NiCD batteries. 1000 charging cycles are therefore quite possible with the 1.5V lithium-ion battery under real conditions.

Ideal for: wildlife cameras, fairy lights, model making, radios, photo equipment, flash units and much more.

Disadvantages: The electronic control only allows the discharge current specified in the key figures. The batteries can only be charged via USB or a suitable charger.

Please note: Electric motors, for example in toy cars, require several times more power when starting than the stated continuous load. 

Important: The Keeppower 1.5V Li-ion batteries can be charged via the integrated micro USB socket or with the XTAR BC4 or  XTAR BC8 charger. Charging with a conventional charger for NiMH/NiCD or Li-ion batteries is not permitted.

Chargers for Li-ion 1.5V batteries other than the models listed are not compatible. Charging via USB can be done using any USB 5V port (smartphone, power supply, power bank, laptop, etc.), so you remain flexible and always have a charging option at hand.
