The IR X 850 nm infrared illuminator is a laser infrared illuminator with a wavelength of 850 nm , which effectively supports the operation of the night vision sight with residual light.
Laser diode with a wavelength of 850 nm
The illuminator uses a VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) diode with a wavelength of 850 nm . practically invisible to the human eye. Such a wavelength means that the LED illuminator can effectively support the night vision sight, without disturbing the game.
The infrared radiation of 850 nm has an impressive range - about 900 m , thanks to which the illuminator will be perfect for hunting and long-distance observations. The X-850 nm IR illuminator is compatible with GEN1, GEN1 +, GEN2, GEN2 + and GEN3 digital night vision devices as well as with selected models of analog devices. The illuminator is also compatible with any device that works in the infrared mode, e.g. digital cameras.
The applied VCSEL diode is characterized by a low dependence of the emitted waves on the temperature and good current-optical efficiency. An important feature of the IRC diode is the low dependence of the emitted waves on the temperature. Unlike ordinary emitters, 5 W is sufficient to power the VCSEL diode, thanks to which the illuminator does not heat up excessively during use.
Zoom adjustment
The flashlight uses a convex lens and a variable focal length (zoom) , which allows for a smooth change of the width of the infrared beam. Depending on the situation, we can concentrate the light precisely at a distance of 900 m or use a diffused beam and illuminate objects up to 100 m away. The beam can be adjusted by extending the head.
Recoil-resistant design
The body and head of the flashlight are made of aviation aluminum alloy, which is characterized by low weight, high resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions. The flashlight is compact and weighs only 90 g (with the battery), so when mounted on the weapon it does not noticeably increase its weight and can be conveniently carried at the belt. The porthole is IPX-4 waterproof , which means that the device is resistant to splashes, rain and temporary immersion in water. The porthole is resistant to weapon recoil (tested for 9.3 × 62 and .300 Winchester Magnum), falls and weather conditions, so it can be safely used during hunting regardless of the weather and season. The emitter switch is located at the rear of the body.
Double power supply
As a standard, the illuminator is powered by a 18650 battery (not included) or 2 CR123 batteries, which, due to their resistance to low temperatures, are recommended for use in winter.
