A medium-sized, exceptionally light folding knife with a 10 cm locking blade. A classic from a French manufacturer with over 100 years of tradition.
The clip point blade is made of stainless steel and polished to a semi-matt shine. The blade is made with a flat-full grind close to zero-grind, which, combined with the small thickness of the blade, provides above-average cutting properties.
The knife can be opened thanks to a cut on the blade, similar to Victorinox pocket knives.
In the open position, the blade is blocked by the Viroblock lock patented in 1955. This is a steel ring on the handle located at the height of the blade's rotation axis. After opening the knife, we turn it a few degrees so that it covers the blade slot in the handle, which prevents the blade from moving. In a similar way, we secure the knife against accidental opening after folding.
The handle is made of beech wood. It is ergonomically shaped and provides a firm, warm grip. An additional advantage of the handle is its susceptibility to modifications. The simplest is to drill a hole for a safety rope in the back of the handle. We can also give it any texture, carve it and stain it in a selected color.
