The TM9K TAC is the successor to Nitecore's well known and popular TM9K. Like its predecessor, the TM9K TAC features a 5000mAh lithium-ion battery.
The battery is charged via a USB-C connection built into the head of the torch. This means that no additional charger is required. The built-in charger provides charging power that charges the battery by around 80% in less than 2 hours.
The Nitecore TM9K TAC reaches a maximum output of 9800 lumens with an illumination range of 280 meters. The attached tactical ring is not removable.
The TM9K TAC is controlled by two switches, both located on the end cap. The main switch is used to turn the torch on and off and activate the momentary light function.
The mode switch is used to switch between five different modes + strobe mode. It is also equipped with a mode memory function. This is particularly interesting for tactical use, as the last light mode used is stored and when the torch is switched off and on again, it lights up in exactly that mode. The turbo mode can also be recalled immediately with the mode switch. To protect the Nitecore TM9K TAC against unintentional activation it is equipped with a lock function.
A small LED indicator on the end cover of the lamp provides constant information on the charging status.
A continuously lit electronic indicator which ensures the lamp remains lit at all times, as well as the temperature control which adjusts the lamp luminous flux as soon as the housing becomes too warm, ensure trouble-free long term use.
