The #3 carabiner is a lightweight, aluminum carabiner with an innovative locking mechanism, manufactured by Nite Ize. Its slim, rectangular shape with a cross-section replaces the traditional, thick tubular design. This allows the carabiner to easily pass through small openings, sit flat in a pocket, and eliminate unnecessary slack on the webbing.
The carabiner's body is made of solid aluminum, and the gate is made of stainless steel with a plastic SlideLock® mechanism. The carabiner closes in a single movement: simply press the gate and slide the lock. Unlocking the gate is equally easy. This design eliminates the risk of accidental opening and losing suspended items, while requiring no tools or two hands.
This carabiner has an individual load rating of 25 lbs (approx. 11 kg). This product is not intended for climbing or applications where disconnection could result in personal injury. Intuitive, one-handed opening.
The slim profile allows the carabiner to easily slip into a pants or jacket pocket, clip to belt loops, and attach to a backpack without creating an undesirable bulk. Size #3 is perfect for carrying keys, attaching to zipper pulls, and lightweight EDC (Every Day Carry) accessories.
